10:00 AM–12:00 PM | Chinese Stories, Art & Project-Based Learning

Each project begins with a traditional Chinese story, folktale, cultural topic, or topics developed from the books. Through guided discussions, vocabulary development, reading, and storytelling, children deepen their understanding of the theme while strengthening their Chinese language skills.

Students then bring their learning to life through hands-on project work. Art projects are a major component of the program and may include painting, drawing, mixed-media creations, cultural crafts, model building, and collaborative artwork inspired by the story or theme. Depending on the unit, projects may also incorporate STEM activities, engineering challenges, design thinking, and creative problem-solving.

At the end of each project cycle, children present their work to their peers, share what they discovered, discuss challenges they overcame, and celebrate their accomplishments. These regular presentation opportunities help students develop public speaking skills, critical thinking, leadership, and self-confidence.
